Bear Creek Marina “White Trash Party”
This Saturday October 15 Bear Creek Marina will host a “white trash party”. Dress up and join the fun or come out and watch those who do. GANNON ADAMS will perform from 9pm to 1am. Check out theirfacebook page here for more information.
Fall Festival Oct. 15 Indian Springs State Park!
The Friends of Indian Springs State Park will hold a fall festival from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 15 in the group campground at the state park, 678 Lake Park Road, Flovilla. There will be games, treats and hay rides. A park pass will be needed to attend. For more information, call 770-504-2277.
Pumpkin carving Oct. 16
Dauset Trails Nature Center, at 360 Mt. Vernon Road, Jackson, will hold a pumpkin-carving party at 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at Pavilion 1. The cost will be $5 per carver with his or her own pumpkin and $10 per carver if Dauset Trails provides the pumpkin. Refreshments and activities will be provided. Space is limited. Right to Life Tournament Oct. 19
The Butts County chapter of Georgia Right to Life will host its annual golf tournament Oct. 19 at Hickory Hill Golf Club, 209 Biles Road, Jackson. Registration begins at noon. Pokemon Hunt Oct. 21
A Pokemon Night Hike and Hunt will be held at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at High Falls State Park, 76 High Falls Park Drive, Jackson. Park personnel will put up Pokemon lures in the park. Participants will take a short hike to the falls. Bring a smartphone, head light and walking shoes. The cost is $5 plus $5 for parking. For more information, call 478-993-3053.
JHS golf tourney Oct. 22
The Jackson High School baseball program and the Dugout Club will begin its golf tournament fundraiser at 1 p.m. Oct. 22 at Hickory Hill Golf Club, 209 Biles Road, Jackson. The cost is $260 per foursome, which goes to support the baseball program. There will be prizes for first and second place, longest drive and closest to the hole. A mulligan package is available. Jackson Alive/Halloween Oct. 29
The Butts County Chamber of Commerce will hold the seventh annual Jackson Alive-The Family Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 29 in downtown Jackson. There will be vendors, entertainment and a children’s play area. The festival will be followed by Halloween on Second Street from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, visit www.buttschamber.com.
